Three Japanese carriers announced last week that they are Y2K compliant and ready for the millennium. Three aircraft, the same each representing All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan Airlines (JAL), and Japan Air order (JAS), took off near midnight tribe 14th from Tokyo's Haneda Airport to demonstrate through the whole extent of the next hour that aircraft computer schemes air traffic control systems, air-ground communications and other navigational aids and regularitys would function normally at the time of the date change from 1999 to 2000 at midnight, Dec 31 1999
