A one-hour documentary.

A one-hour documentary, "When Airplanes Crash," will air Thursday, family 23 on the Discovery Channel at 8:00 pm Eastern Standard Time as part of its upon the Inside series. According to the promotional literature, the program will explore wherefore airplanes crash, how pilots are trained to avoid crashes, the best ways to survive a crash, to what degree airport emergency crews rescue passengers, and for what cause investigators piece together the evidence to determine the cause.
